CAREER:  (1954 – 2002)

A Physical Education and English Language teacher for 37 years with 30 years in government service most of which was spent in the oldest English school in South-East Asia – the Penang Free School (founded 1816).

In the private sector, he taught seven years in a prestigious school, International Uplands School. Subsequently, he devoted 10 years in the administration and management of the oldest private membership club in the country, the Penang Club (founded 1868) as the General Manager/Secretary before he called it a day in 2002
