Dear TSN residents,

The Health Department has alerted us that dengue cases are on the rise in our Taman within the last few weeks. COMBI Taman Sri Nibong would like to request the cooperation of all residents to help prevent the numbers from increasing and hopefully to eradicate this threat. Below are some actions which need to be done as soon as possible.

1. Kindly pass the message around to as many residents as possible about this situation which is becoming serious in our  community.
2. It is important for everyone to check the drains, surrounding areas, within your compound and also inside your houses to make sure that there is no breeding place for the mosquitoes.
3. Protect yourselves by spraying insecticide in dark areas at least once a week to kill the mosquitoes.
4. Clean the water containers in your bathroom once a week and add abate to prevent the mosquitoes from breeding.
5. During fogging, please cooperate and open your windows to make the fogging effective.
6. If you see any clogged drains, clear it or kindly inform me or any committee member if it is a difficult job.
7. Check the gutters which can be blocked by leaves and make sure the water is able to flow freely.
8. If possible, check your rooftop water tank as well.
9. If any person has fever, quickly see the doctor.

With all measures taken and your cooperation, we should be able to overcome this problem and live safely.
There will be a clean-up gotong-royong next Saturday, 29 Nov 2014 at 9 am. Please gather at the Clubhouse to help out.

Thank you.

Yours sincerely,

Wong CJ

Dear Residents,

I attended a meeting this morning pertaining to “Wabak Denggi” by Kementerian Kesihatan Barat Daya, Balik Pulau.

Reported cases in our Taman Sri Nibong as at 15.11.2014 are as follows:-

1. Persiaran Bukit Kecil – 8
2. Lavinia Apt. – 3
3. Lebuh Bukit Kecil – 4

On going fogging can be seen in our taman with the latest which was yesterday at Lavinia Apt for a suspected case at Block 17.

The 3-storey corner vacant house opposite our RA has been raided 3 times by joint effort from Health Dept/MPPP/RA and the front fountain feature together with the water pump tank have all been hacked with holes to prevent water being stagnant for mosquitoes breeding. A title search was conducted and the owner are Indonesians with no forwarding address as the last purchase transaction 10 years ago was under the lawyer’s firm address.

Our RA will be organising a Gotong-Royong against Dengue on the 29.11.14 @ 9.00am as per announcement by our Combi Leader Mr. CJ Wong yesterday. Please come and support this campaign for the betterment of our taman.

Thank you.
