Thank you for your old books & magazines !

Filed under: from the editor — mollyosc @ 4:58 pm

We truly appreciate all our kind donors from all over

Penang and even one from Kota Bharu who have blessed us

with their old books and magazines to make our Reading Corner

a reality. Others will be donating their reading materials soon.

There were also others who said they would continue to support

us whenever they have reading materials to give away.

To all you wonderful people, we wish to say :

Our ADUN YB Sim Tze Tzin launched our Reading Corner after our AGM on 23.4.2011.

We are glad that we are able to further serve the community by encouraging

the reading habit among the young & old. Though we are starting small,

we believe that little acorns will grow into mighty oak trees. One day, we hope

to raise enough funds to build a community reading room for all Penangites.

TSNRA Reading Corner

Filed under: from the editor — mollyosc @ 4:41 am

TSNRA will be starting a Reading Corner at the back of our clubhouse

where there are concrete tables and benches to encourage residents & children

to read. Reading is the gateway to knowledge and an impressive worldview.

Benefits of Reading :

For a start, we have 2 cabinets for information pamphlets, old magazines and

some books for adults & children. We would be most grateful for donations

of reading materials from residents. Please contact/sms the Blog Editor

Ms Molly ( 016 4701279 ) who is temporarily i/c until the PIC of Reading Corner

Ms Gurdeep ( 012 4870217 ) is back from her leave in a month’s time.

We will be launching our Reading Corner this Saturday during our AGM.

If you wish to donate reading materials, please bring them to the clubhouse

any time between 3 – 6 pm. We will all be there.

Thank you.

The Bamboo

Notice that the stiffest tree is most easily cracked,

while the bamboo or willow survives by bending with the wind.
